As Starfish has adapted to the needs of the community they serve, they have determined that opening a school will be a more effective way to prepare their students for career success. Due to our ongoing relationship and my experience working in arts education in the US, Starfish asked me to write the art curriculum for the school. I followed the national art standards set down by the Guatemalan government. You can find those standards here. Below I have included one unit from the 7th grade curriculum to demonstrate my ability to integrate theatre standards with other art forms. In this unit, students create and use masks for a small public performance.
